  • 2.5. she co-slept with us until then so the transition was a little more difficult because she was used to being hugged by mommy all night.

  • this is a good question....my son is 1 1/2 and I wasnt sure when would be a good time. I guess all kids are different b/c if I put my son in a toddler bed now, it would turn into a battle to keep him in there.

  • i have the toddler bed all out, just waiting for SO to find some screws (its a hand me down and two of the screws are missing) and put it together for me. My DD is 21 months. She hasnt really started climbing out of the crib yet, but I would rather transition her before she tries to climb out and hurts herself.

  • Never. You don't have to use a toddler bed. Save some money and skip it and go straight to a regular bed.

  • My oldest is almost 20 months and climbs in the crib, but not out...go figure. But I agree when the time comes just get a normal bed, unless your crib changes into a toddler bed. But every child and every family is different and you do what you feel is best.
