  • Whatever looks good on you. Most ladies look good with light pieces around their faces.

  • for teens bold colored highlights (like pink blue green ect.) for us natural looking ones. for example a person like you with dark hair hair would go for a lot of small med. brown highlights all around.. some does do the light peices in front or if they have light hair go for dark in front. that is on highlight on each side about and inch or two in the very front.

  • So, only teens can have pink, blue, green, red highlights?
Since when did this become a 'teen-only' thing???
I think it doesn't matter how old you are, if you want extreme
    highlights, go for it!
The only difference with extreme colors is they fade kinda
fast, so you have to keep up with it because once it fades,
it looks kinda weird. See, first they have to bleach the pieces
of hair they are going to highlight...and then they add the color.
So when the color fades, you get left with bleached hair...
And that doesn't look pretty. Fortunately, once you've gotten
these highlights, you can touch them up at home. It's easy,
and cheaper than having to go back every four weeks and
    get it redone.
For the first time highlighting, have a professional do it.
If you feel comfortable doing touch-ups on your own, cool.
You can always have a pro take care of your hair tho, if
    you're scared to mess it
