where do 14 year old girls like to get their clothes from?

I cannot stand some of the popular styles out there today, but whatever- what is in with 14 year old girls and what is out? What is considered preppy and what is considered different? Skinny jeans or boot cut jeans or distressed jeans that I think I could make myself? LOL. Just wondering where you shop for your teen girl's clothing and what they like?

  • Preppy-Holister, American Eagel, Forever 21, and Abercrombie and Fich
Punk/Emo/"Different"-Hot Topic, some of Rue 21, and some perfer thrift stores for a more "realistic" look.
I am sure there are more but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
I have seen skinny jeans for both preppy and not preppy styles.

  • I bring my daughter (13) with me. i have realized I no longer can tell what she'll wear. She likes Hollister, Old Navy, Aeropostle, and even target. We've gotten some basics from Walmart also.

  • I recently sent my 13 (almost 14) yo dd shopping for spring/summer clothes. I gave her a list of what I expected her to buy, and I gave her a specific dollar amount she could spend. She bought things from Kohl's, 5-7-9 (ick), Target, Bealle's, and JC Penney's. She likes to buy things from Hollister, but since they are so over-priced she usually only goes there when she has money from Christmas. She wears flare or bootcut jeans, but a lot of her friends wear skinny jeans.

  • My 14 year old daughters favorite stores are Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister and American Eagle. She use to only wear clothes from there since she was 11. She now is starting to like things from Forever 21 and Heritage. She only wears skinny jeans, she likes them worn and torn or dark. Another store she likes is Dailia's for their t-shirts

  • Preppy- Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch
Punk/Emo/Scene/Different- I can only think of Hot Topic. Some of Rue21's are like this.

My daughter also likes Pac Sun. They are more of a I don't want to say Skater style store but that's pretty much what they are. Journey's is also a popular store with her.

  • I have a son and he hates shopping. He loves American Eagle and Aeropostale tho. I buy his clothes and as long as they come from there he is happy. He is however you say it, a skater boy. He is 12 now, so my time is almost up with the shopping for him lol
