  • I think this line from the story sums it up: On the one hand, you have a teen acting out in dangerous ways, and on the other, you have an absentee parent trying to establish authority through pretty questionable means.

and just because someone sues doesn't mean its a legit suit or that it will go anywhere. he's technically suing for harassment, and the question is whether a non present parent getting into a personal online account of their minor child and shutting the account down is actually harassment.

  • Mrspulley has it right-it is so much more than a Mother trying to shut down her son's facebook page. The family has deep issues and its a sign when the courts have to sort out what should be a family matter.

  • From what I understand its kinda like opening a persons mail. She invaded his privacy.THEY have waaaay bigger issues in the family and im guessing its with her.maybe they have a reason he lives with his dad and NOT his mom...

  • Kids under 18 have too many rights.
We are the parents when they do something wrong we get in trouble. When we try to protect them and stop them from making big mistakes we can't they have there rights.

    It is so not fair.

  • Seeing mom doesn't have custody and the son lives with dad, she was in the wrong. She had NO right doing what she did. She has issues that she needs to work on.

  • Sued - really? A judge said there was enough to allow a suit? You do know you can't just sue, so what kind of judge thinks this has merit? This is the man who needs to loose his job if he is elected. If he is hired, he needs to be fired. Her father should have been more upset that his daughter was posting such things instead of supporting his daughter in a suit. I love my family!

  • she has the right to know and see whats going on, BUT he didnt live with her so yes she did invade his privacy. She should have told the father and let him deal with it there.
