My son is having an adenoidectomy in a couple of weeks, as well as a 2nd set of tubes placed. I've been given post-op instructions, but wanted to hear "real world" advice about the recovery.
Also, hubby and I are going out of town a week later. Grandparents (who are awesome) are taking care of him. Should he be recovered for the most part by then, other than still taking meds?
He throat will be very sore and will be very cranky. My DD was 5 whe she had the same thing done. She was doing ok in a couple of days. But eating regular food took a while to do. As long as the grandparts know his throte is sore they shold be ok.
