My son is 6 months and can see over the crib rail and even learned to pull down the bumpers.....should i lower the mattress

  • Yes. The doctor told me today to lower mine because my 6 month old DD is crawling.
    I'd also take out the bumpers now.

  • You shouldn't even have the bumpers. They are really just their to make the room all cute and pretty. They increase the risk of SIDS, are a suffocation hazard, and provide something for babies to climb up.

    Yes, you should lower the crib mattress.

  • I would lower the mattess, but I still have my bumpers. I dont like my son trying to pushy his chubby little arms and legs through the bars- when he starts standing up Ill take them out so he doesnt try standing on them. As for sids- Your baby can roll over- Im sure he wont suffocate in his bumper.
