he only wants fruits and veggies!

My son is 15 months and he has always loves fruits and veggies. It is hard to get him to eat protein and carbs. He is lean but not unhealthy.
He will eat fruit, veggies and cheese all day. What are easy snack he can feed himself that are good for him. He is a snacker not one to sit and eat.

  • Give him eggs or legumes or pasta. Other than that he doesn't have to eat meat or carbs really. He probably will eventually eat them if you keep offering them.

  • Will he eat tofu? My oldest was the same way as a baby and I would give him tofu.

  • Have you tried beans? They are very child friendly. My kids would eat black beans, pinto beans, kidney beans, etc. We recently discovered how much we like soy beans as well. :)

  • It sounds like he's already eating what's healthy for him. It's better than "he will only eat mac n cheese and chicken nuggests". Which was my problem with my oldest at first lol He's happy and fed. What else could you want?

  • Sounds like my 17 month old. He'll eat really anything, but the fruits, veggies, and cheese are his preferred foods. His others are yogurt (because it has fruit in it!) and scrambled eggs.
