I am so Mo**er ****ing mad I cant see straight! HELP!

Okay well, I have been dealing with dental issues since my first pregnancy, 7 years ago. Before my teeth were FINE. No cavaties, no nothing. I had braces with my first pregnancy, idk if that affected my teeth or not. ANYHOW.....everyone in my family seems to have/had the same problems so maybe its genetic? ANYHOW. My mouth hurts so freaking BAD right now (for the last week straight) that I cant stand it! I went to the dentist who referred me to a surgeon. I need to be put asleep to have 4 teeth cut out, because they are either broke in half, OR broke down to the gum. • Dh is military, and well.....military dental SUCKS! For 1, I have been activly TRYING to get coverage for me and our kids for about a year! They keep ****ing around! (The online ap) well, as soon as dh gets paid he is going to try again, because they have to pull money out of his pay to cover surgery without insurance is 1500........with 300. I cant schedule my surgery because we have to have a 100 deposit, and have to pay in full the day of surgery. (we dont qualify for payment plan)..are there any programs with the airforce to help with the cost? even with insurance, paying 300 for dental surgery (unexpected) isnt going to be good. We do not have enough money for that! But I have to do something, its effecting my mood, my energy....I have none because I cant sleep or eat....dh and I have not had sex in like 2 weeks.......because I cant stand the sight/sound of ANYTHING!!!!!!! • Have you tried a dental discount plan? It's not insurance but will allow you a percentage off of services. It's easy to quailfy for and not expensive. I used one when my daughter needed caps and a bunch of other work. Saved me a lot of money and hassle trying to find insurance.
You could also try to talk to another dentist. maybe they can give you a break or a cash discount?

  • I have the same dissorder. Well maybe not the same exact one but with pregnancy I develop a decalfication dissorder where all the calcium is sucked out of my teeth and they started to form tiny holes that eventually turned into big holes. It was terrible. I have on military dental (United Concordia) and I had to pay $1787 out of pocket to have the bad teeth removed and still maxed out my dental for the year in the process =/ I still need more work done but I have to wait for the insurance to roll over again because it is way too much for us to afford at the moment. I know what your going through is what I am getting at, I lived off of Orajel for months (I know your only supposed to use it temporarily but it was the only thing that helped if I kept reapplying it. I hope you all get the dental ins taken care of. I am not sure why your having issues with that, we were able to sign up immediately after my hubby joined.

  • call every dentist within 30 miles of where you are and explain your situation. tell them what you can afford, and see if anyone is willing to do the job for "charity". i do believe they can even write this off on their taxes. anyhow, it is worth a shot...some may work out a payment plan with you that could last over 2 years, to make it more affordable as well. i honestly can't even imagine the pain you must be going through! be sure to tell them you are a military wife never know what would help! are there nay dental schools near you? they do discounted work as well.
