You can get a tax credit too.

I want to know where I can get tax credit, we pay for school twice, between local city taxes and what we pay for our sons tuition. If I could get credit for it, you can bet I would! We have done the homework in our area and have decided that our children will go to private school for a while. Yes, it can be tight, and next year with two at school I will be getting a job to help pay for tuition. When you feel something is that important, you figure out a way to make it happen.

  • Same way they can afford other expensive luxuries - a well paying job.

Although some private schools do offer scholarships.

  • Well...all 3 of our children attend our church's private school. My hubby has a decent job, and we scale back on some other things. It is worth our sacrifice for our kids to have a REALLY GOOD education, and to be protected for some of the false teaching in our country's current public school system. Our school is the least expensive private school in the county though, and it is "closed" (meaning you can only attend if you are a faithful member of our church)

  • Well if you are my BIL and SIL you go to Mommy and Daddy and complain you can't afford it and then have my SIL's parents pay for it.

  • Well, I was a SAHM that returned to work to afford private school. You give up things if it is really where you want your child to attend school.

WHY? If I had grandchildren and had the money to get them a good education I'd do it.
