Would you let your 10/11 year old son go see a PG13 movie for a birthday party?

My son is turning 11 in a couple of weeks and we were planning on taking he and his friends out to the movie for his party. He wants to go to "Clash of the Titans" and it has a PG13 rating. I am just wondering if other moms would let their kids go.

  • OMG. That movie was SO stupid. So naturally my boys loved it. :) Not to worry momma, it is only pg13 because of some few scary/gory parts. Mostly, just stupid.

  • Yeah, my oldest son is 11 (12 in July) and I'd let him go see it. He probably will see it in the next little while anyway.

  • After reading the IMDB guide, I'd probably want to screen it myself first. Mine is hyper-sensitive on some things and I'm not sure if this would be a good one for him.

I could always rent the original one with Harry Hamlin!

  • Only no if you have a problem with violence. I don't so I would let my 11 year old. I would let my 7 year old.

  • I think commonsensemedia.org is a better site because parents rate the movie, just for future reference :)
