There are folks who believe that he is not really weakening our military. From what i understand, it's all a facade to make it seam that way to other countries. I can't even say where i got that info.

It's a fascade to fool the pacifists who elected him. His treaty with Russia won't get ratified but he can claim he tried
Maybe he will even get another Nobel peace prize for it... Or did the first one count for this, since the first one was about his vision? But then should they take the first one away because of the Afghanistan troop surge? hrmmmmm..... Ohh that liberal funny stuff again..
