Cost of circumsicion?

Most insurance companies dont cover the cost to circumsize, if you decided this was a choice for your little one how much did you pay out of pocket or did insurance cover all...some...?

  • My moms friend paid 80-100 bucks for each child.they have 5 boys and 3 girls lol

  • My little boy had the Plastibell circumcision done before we left the hospital and I was charged $160 and insurances paid for most of his. If you get an option--- choice the plastibell method-- it was easy and only needed to be cleaned daily with soap and water. No pain for the baby!!

  • Medicaid wouldn't cover it so we put $250 down as a "deposit" and we still owe on it. I think the total cost is like $535 or something, but from reading the previous answers, sounds like I got jipped.

  • Some people have paid $1000 or more! Make sure you pay for and get anesthetic. Some doctors will tell you the baby won't feel it. Studies have shown that's not true, they do feel it. The American Academy of Pediatrics has never recommended circumcision.
