What tips would you give some one who is trying to raise their credit score?

  • Tips

    Pay your bills on time.

    Pay more than the minimum on your credit cards every month.

    Limit the number of new credit-card accounts you open.

    Keep your balance well below the credit limit on revolving accounts like credit cards.

    Pay off any uncollected items.

  • pay things off. and pay all your bills on time. and dont use credit cards, they are a trap.

  • Pay on time, always! this is what they look for not how much you owe, never have a late payment or it will count against your score.

  • Pay your mortgage and all bills on time, pay off cards quickly, and even pay more than the minimum.

    My husband forgot to pay January's mortgage and the credit score watch he had dinged him and his credit score went down 30 points, now since it's been paid by me on the 1st each month since his score has gone up 75 points!!!
