I cannot have carbs or refined sugar.I need a thickener. I cannot use cornstarch or flour.Help!!!

Carbs. cause me very bad gas and very loose B.M.'s

  • Hey cornstarch has very little carbs and you use very little dissolved in water. Also gluten free wheat flour has very little carbs too.

  • There are other starches. Rice, potato...I'll be you anything it's not carbs in general that give you gas, it's wheat/gluten. Try an elimination diet eliminating anything with wheat and or gluten - which makes potatoes, rice, and corn things fine. Carbs alone cannot give you gas & the runs. Check out celiac disease, gluten intolerance, things like that.
