how do u talk to your stepchildren about growing up/ he has a mom and a dad but i want my kids to be aware and informed and i dont want to leave him out. i am helping to raise him too.

  • I'd talk to them as a group while in the car (so the pressure's not on him anyway, he can quietly listen) or while all on your bed, waiting to begin a family movie... You chose to marry his dad and become his (assuming he is a boy!) mom, so just treat him with the SAME love you do your biological kids. The only place you have to be wary of is discipline.

  • i would ask my sig-other if i could then with permission i would tell them all the same stuff and in the same manner - this way if they want to talk to eachother about it (unlikely unless they are same age/sex) they will all know they got the same version of it from you.
