  • They have great little personalities, and are super smart. He'll come around the more you handle him. Don't give up on him just because he hasn't been socialized for a while. It'll all come back to him! Just play with him with a leather glove on if you have one handy, and let him explore you on his own terms. Sit him on your lap and let him climb around on you, just to check you out. Pick him up to smell your breath, don't blow on him, but let him within an inch or so, just out of reach if he decides to nibble. Same with the palm of your hand so he gets familiar with the smell of your palm's sweat. It shouldn't take more than a month. GL with your little guy!

  • Oh YEAH! I would also suggest putting him in a 10 or 15 gal fish tank, it's easier to keep the area clean if he isn't able to push the shavings and stuff out of a cage. You can get a 10gal at walmart for $10-15. And a big bag of shavings from a feed store will cost close to, if not less than the shavings you buy at walmart in the rodent aisle! It's a bigger bag to keep track of, but you'll be less likely to run out after a few changes!
