Why wouldn't they have the right?

There's a rally planned tomorrow outside DC. In the Post, there's an article about it, including a quote from some anti-gun activist condemning it. This is why he thinks the protesters are "wrong":

"They are calling health care and taxes that have been duly enacted by a democratically elected Congress tyrannical, and they feel they have a right to confront that individually."

Why on earth would they not have a right to confront that individually???

  • because they didn't clear it with Fancy Nancy, Dingy Harry, and O first? I don't know. The Constitution gives them the right to protest whatever they want to protest, even if the ones in power don't want to hear it.

  • Because they don't think protests are ok unless it's protesting something they're personally against. That's my guess.

You both hit the nail on the head!  Not only do they have a right, they have a responsibilty to speak out when there's tyranny and unconstitutional dealings going on.  If bho thinks for one second that he's going to shut people up, he's more delusional than I first thought.  He needs to back off, sit down and SHUT UP!

  • According to what Hillary Clinton said during the Bush administration, we have the right:

"I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration."

'We are Americans, We have the right to participate and debate any administration."

  • Who cares what they think..it's all about double standards obviously..and the president and this admin are pretty pathetic. They make ridiculous statements about opposition to their policies/ideals..and do whatever they can to cast a negative light onto the movement as a whole. They are all for the right to oppose and voice until it is in opposition to their policies/ideals.If they themselves can voice then anyone can and I hope they keep making false/ridiculous claims against us because they sound extremely arrogant and narcissistic (the president mocking those who he is supposed to be serving!) it will hurt them in the end...NOV 2010

  • Well, they do have a right to confront peacefully and they have the right to carry loaded guns. Obama himself signed the law.
What they don't have the right to do is shoot anyone. If they were to do that they would go to jail just as if it were any other offense.
I don't know why people are making a big deal out of it.

The President of the USA is not serving anybody..please explain.

Who are us? People represented by people like Palin,Beck & other cheer leaders from Fox News? Your solution is Nov'2010 to vote out democrats..that will not work. Both sides are in fault of creating the mess we are in .
