  • I use ground beef to make homemade vegetable soup. Brown it with an onion. Add some tomatoes, carrots, celery, and whatever other veggies you have on hand(even canned veggies are good in soup.) Also, I make a wonderful casserole dish with ground beef, onions, and garlic browned. Add a can of peas, a can of corn, a couple cans of tomatoes, a can of sliced mushrooms, and maybe a little V-8 juice for added flavor, some chili powder, and some cooked noodles. Mix all that together and top with grated cheddar cheese. Brown in a 350 oven for about 40 minutes or until heated through. Add a salad and some crusty bread, and you've got a great meal.
