Do you think this is a decent birthday present to bring for a 9 year old?

My son went to a friends birthday party today. We were kinda strapped for cash but we headed to Walmart to see what we could find.
We bought a slip and slide for $9.00, a medium sized water gun for $3.00 and a big container of mixed gummi worms.
My son made him a homemade birthday card to go with it.
I know...its supposed to be the thought that counts, but really..do you think thats a decent present?

  • Sounds good to me. We went to a 6 year olds party and brought a 14 dollar Skippyjon Jones book that came with a small 'Skippito' toy. No one is sitting there calculating the cost. At least I would sure hope not.
