i want some recommendations for birth control

i'll be giving birth in july. i need to go on bc afterwards because we don't want more kids for a couple years. i can't get an iud cause my body rejected my last one, ortho tricyclen lo makes me hemorrhage, ortho evera gave me breast tumors....i just want a good birth control pill that won't give me any side effects. suggestions and experiences?

  • Honestly, DH and I stuck to condoms only, and they have never failed us. I don't do hormonal BC, for it messes with my body.

  • Breastfeeding, natural family planning with condoms AND foam as back-up. Condoms are not a reliable form of birth control because of user failure (men). Condoms and foam are reliable. A diaphram is another good choice along with condoms. Of course you or your partner can become sensitive to spermacide.

  • What about a diaphragm? They work without hormones and have no side effects. They never caused a stroke, infertility or PID; you won't gain weight, get depressed, or lose your libido; your periods won't be affected. They have never been the subject of class action lawsuits and are instantly reversible.
