  • My son could eat food and didn't have to have it mushy at age one. You could do all these and much it up or puree' it.
    Mine would have:

Either blueberry waffle plain or with peanut butter and syrup, scambled egg and sausage biscuit, some cereal(multi-bran Chex, shredded wheat with strawberries in the middle, Kix, Plain Cheerios w/ honey drizzle), Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat or Malt o Meal. And O.j. or Milk

    Lunch:
Beef Stew w/ added mixed veggies, Goulash(mac and cheese, hamburger meat and tomatoes), Peanut butter sandwich, Hamburger patty and mixed veggies, Homemade Chicken Pot Pie w/ Veggies, or grilled cheese
    And O.j or milk

    Supper:
Whatever we had, but, before seasonings or oil or gravy or anything not healthy for kids. LOL Oj or milk

He had water throughout the day. Snacks when he wanted some were: Cereals(healthy), yogurt, fruits, Little Debbie Apple Flips.

  • Most baby food doesn't taste good. I never fed my children or grandson jar food, cereal, puffs, ect. They got the real thing.

My grandson likes sweet potato, broccoli, green beans, potato, squash, beans, cauliflour, asparagus, other veggies, strawberries, pineapple, apple, blueberries, tomato, other fruit, beef, chicken, turkey, bison, pork, shrimp, salmon, other fish, brown rice, whole grain pasta, whole grain bread, other breads, oatmeal, whole grain cereals, corn taco shell with cheese, taco, burrito, other Mexican food (we live in Tucson), cheese, yogurt, kefir, frozen yogurt, tofu, beans, whole grain mac and cheese, lots of stuff.

If you go to google and type in superfoods these are the kinds of foods to try.

  • By age 1 I was giving mine pretty much what I ate, with very few modifications. He didn't like baby food past around 8 months.

  • By age 1, it's time for real foods! Your baby has discovered taste! Feed him what you eat (for the most part). My son got cereal, scrambled eggs, etc for breakfast complete with a fruit, toast, and some milk. Lunch: Usually meat (for protein) later peanut butter sandwich, veggie, and another fruit. Snack: Fruit and either a grain or yogurt. Dinner: Another meat/protein, another veggie, another grain, and another fruit. Be sure to give lots of variety. Get those green leafy and yellow veggies in there. Remember, corn and white potatoes don't count. Corn is a grain, white potatoes are a starch. Sweet potatoes, however, are a yellow veggie. I always feed my son the fruit last b/c it is like dessert, and he needs to eat the other foods too.
