If your planting a vegetable garden..

Are you starting from seeds in your house and then replanting to the garden or are you waiting until the danger of frost is over and planting directly into the garden?
What are you planting this year?
For some of the vegetables, we are starting from the seeds and planting indoors, we have them started already (yay)
But for the carrots and lettuce we are waiting to plant directly outside.

  • We started from seeds about a month and a 1/2 ago (as a science experiment) and then this weekend we built a garden box and filled it up with the seedlings. We are trying all sorts of things - corn, tomatoes, tomatillos, chilis, peppers, cantalope, watermelon, pumpkin, strawberries, sunflowers...
This is our first garden so we aren't really too sure what to do from here besides water it...

  • I started watermelon, sweet bell peppers, and hot banana peppers inside already. I'll plant the sweet corn, green beans, carrots, salad greens, cucumbers, sugar peas, and spaghetti squash outside when it's warm enough.

  • I am buying all our plants this year and getting some from friends who are thinning out their gardens. We started from seeds last year and my cats got into half of them and ate them lol so we just decided to skip that step this year.
