For bible readers

Is the name of the being known as G-d important? If you believe it is do you use it or know it? If you believe it is not why did people call upon his name in the past? Also why does the bible talk about his name so much and the importance of it? One example of many is found in:Deuteronomy 32:3
Blessings..

  • Its absolutely important. When you pray to God, you use his name to be specific about who you are praying to. Do you know the meaning of Hallelujah?

  • A name is a name, and nothing more. God knows who you are addressing and I don't think he puts to heart what name you do or do not use!

  • I disagree... if it wasn't important it wouldn't be in the bible... that's just my opinion

  • I go by his Hebrew name and titles. Since he was and is known as the Hebrew El [Mighty One]. Yahweh is his Hebrew name so I use it. I like calling upon the same name of those who knew him first. Blessings..
