what causes an ovarian cyst???

  • mine were caused by mirena. usually i THINK they are caused by the virus hpv, but i could be wrong.

  • My birth control did it to me. no matter what kind i used. They eventually had to take out my right one

  • Every month a cyst is formed and when it erupts the egg comes out. Sometimes they don't burst and causes problems.

  • I'm not sure what causes them but they've been painful! I began experiencing pain after I had my second. My doctor put on birth control to shrink it and it helped. The largest was close to 7cm in diameter. I don't experience as much pain as I did before. I'm just concerned about what I'll have to deal with in the future.

  • Being overweight, diet, they pop up after having kids. My gyno did an ultrasound and found 5 huge cysts and it can be genetic. There are so many reasons you need to talk with your doc to see whats up.
