food through mail

is it possible to send food through mail? my daughters godmom lives in texas.

  • i mailed my husband who was deployed food alot... like cookies, and candy and canned food. my mom sometimes mails us food too.... i used the flat rate boxes from usps and packed it.... but as for homemade soups or homemade dinners i dont think it would hold up very well lol so it really depends on the type of food you are sending

  • Depends on what it is. DH works for the USPS, and my brother has been deployed. So I have experience mailing food, and I have a handy resource to ask. Be more specific and I can help you out a lot.

  • My husband sends chili or meatballs to his mom a lot. He freezes them and then overnights it. It's all still a frozen block when she gets it so I guess it depends on what you are shipping and how you are shipping it.
