  • tell them what the words are, then tell them you don't want to hear them saying them

  • for mine he had picked up on saying oh sh!t when i dropped something on my toe lol so when he said it i gave him another word to use instead, like oh man or oh no and it worked well, he is only 2 and doesnt know what a bad word is hes just trying to copy me, and the 5 yr old knows what the words are and that they are bad words that adults use and kids should never say so i havent heard her say one since she was 2 either

  • They can only pick up what their environment offers, so don't let their little ears hear anything that you wouldn't want them to repeat.

  • Stop swearing around them and don't make a big fuss over it when they use a curse word. The bigger the reaction, the more powerful it is for them to use that word.
