I need some support here...

... as in, a good bra! I usually get mine at Ross for a couple bucks, but I'm BFing now and need something with a little more support so I don't look like a saggy old woman! LOL! I just spent a "fortune" on two bras at Motherhood and I hate them. Any advice? Is there such thing as fashion and comfort in one nursing bra?

  • I cheated lol. I took some bras that I wore pre-pregnancy and made them be a nursing bra and a pumping bra. I got them at Walmart; they have foam cups and NO WIRE, and offer me great support despite the constant changes in my bra size. I just cut them up as I wanted them- a slit for my pump horns in one, top clasp openings on the other with a hook and eye, and I blanket stitched around the edges so they wouldn't fray a whole lot.
Anon 1:36, genetics have more effect on your breasts and how much/soon they start going south than breastfeeding ever will. I haven't noticed any major sagging yet, and I've been breastfeeding for 16 1/2 months now.

  • I just had the same problem. I found some at Target for about $15. I did get tired of the snaps though and found some sports bras at WalMart, they gather in the middle in front like a normal bra. I just found them more comfortable.

  • thats what bfing will do to ya, makes you look like a saggy old woman. i guess for some its worth it though. Its all about the babies health anyway, not about you anymore.
