And when does that usually happen?

  • Usually it is in the last few weeks, but it can vary by pregnancy. The usual signs are/can be:
    Belly feeling heavier
Having to use the bathroom even more
    Easier breathing
People who are around you a lot can sometimes tell by appearance
    Doctor can usually feel it
    Pants/Undies suddenly get tighter

  • for me it was a few weeks before i delivered. it was suddenly easier to breath but i had to pee a lot more. they say if you have had more than one it doesnt happen til right before you go into labor.

  • DD dropped around 30 weeks. I knew because she was up REALLY high in my ribs. I woke up one morning and she was down in my pelvic bone and didn't move until she was born 8 weeks later!
