does anyone know of any websites I can go to that I can do some research on for breastfeeding and natural child birth?

Well first off I had probelms with the epidural with my second baby that I donot what so ever want another epidural the thing is I am not to sure I can go natural either. I had an appointment yesterday for a yearly pap and I was going to ask him about getting my tubes tied only because I am afraid to have another one, but I couldn't do that to my DH since he really wants one more so decided not to ask about that. But I told DH that if he wants another baby I am first going to do a lot of research about going natural. Also first baby I gave up trying to nurse cause she wouldn't work with me and I was getting frusterted second I nursed for 2-3 weeks, but I dried up since I couldn't nurse her a lot since the epidural and I was in pain. So I really want to go natural and nurse (this will be my last baby) what are some websites I can go to to do some research on these 2 topics? Thanks!

  • I think everyone is scared of labor, even if they'd had a good experience. My last baby I had a quick labor, drug free, etc, and now I'm pregnant again and totally freaking! There are natural childbirth groups on here you can join. I don't do much on the web for that, but I do like the books "The Thinking Woman's Guide to Giving Birth" and the Ina May Gaskins books. Also, I'd try to see a midwife or go to a birth center. When I walk in the hospital, they try to hook me up. They're like "are you sure you don't want an epidural, why don't we call the anesthesiologist just in case". No, woman, the baby is literally coming out. Just catch her. Sometimes having to deal with that makes labor more intense. When you're surrounded by support, it's so much easier than when a woman is just standing there waiting to call the doctor.
