  • Good to know Christina, my 20 month old weighs in at around 20ish lbs and he hovers around the 1-2 percentile on the charts (he is a peanut!) He was breastfed until he was 15 months old, just proves that everyone has to fill out the chart and that all babies (like their mudders, LOL!) are different!

  • It doesn't matter how much she weighs, it doesn't even matter what percentile is she in. What matters is how many pounds she gained since birth in these 10 months. There is a good chart for breastfed babies weight on My girl was born at 10 lb 7 oz and she weighs 20 pounds at 10 months. She is chubby from the waist down, but slim from the waist up. She just started walking, so hopefully her legs will trim down a bit.

  • My 3 yr old weighs 28 lbs, but that isn't the point. All kids grow at different rates. If your doc thinks there is something wrong, that is all that matters. My kids were huge at birth and thinned way out by a year old. Some people have small babies at birth that are cute and chunky by the time they reach one. It's all good as long as the doc thinks so :)

  • a lot of babies are big at that age, then when they start walking, they slim down. my nephews were all big that first year, very big, but by the time they were two, were average...and now they are skinny!
