  • NEITHER....

A lot of people will say they are fluent when they are not. I AM.

Before I give you the correct answer, let me give you a little background on Spanish.

Cuantos/Cuantas means how much, or how many. You have to make it match with the noun. In spanish nouns are either masculine or feminine. You can tell because they end in a or o. Because you can't be sure if the dogs are all girls, you can't say 'perras'. You have to say 'perros'. So the correct way to ask the question is:

    Cuanto cuestan los perros?

    Hope this helps!

  • Oh, one more thing I forgot to add! LOL!

You also have to make the amount match. If it's singular (only one) you will say Cuanto cuesta. If it is plural (more than one) you will say Cuanto cuestan. It sounds kind of complicated but it's not.

  • OP here

I'm not saying "perras" for dogs (besides, doesn't that technically mean b******?) ...I'm saying "peras" for pears!!!!

I know about the masc./ fem thing. I just blanked on this cuanto cuestan vs cuantos/cuantas thing.

So mas or fem it's going to be CuantO cuesta/n ??
