When did your baby start crawling?

my dd is 5 months old, and it looks like she's trying to crawl, she just doesn't quite have the strength yet. She'll wiggle around like crazy though. I just wanna know if I should be expecting her to crawl anytime soon. It seems kinda early to me.

  • Usually when they are around six months, its all about your baby. Maybe later, maybe early on

  • It really varies! My dd started doing that around 5 mos but never crawled... She rolled everywhere and then she started cruising and was walking at 9 mos!

  • My 1st was 5 months when she started the army crawl and 6 months when she actually crawled. My 2nd dd started at 7 months. She would get up on hands and knees since 5 months and rock back and forth but didnt go forward until 7 months.

  • Crawling is not a developmental milestone and many babies never crawl.

  • My oldest started at age 9 mo. walking and potty trained by 18 mo. It all depends on the baby. Give them time and encouragement . If they are not ready don't push.
