Volcano

Would you live near an active volcano? Or is the threat of eruption someday too much for you to deal with?

  • I live near several volcanoes. You cannot really live where there is no volcanoes. The Earth could pop a new volcano up under you at any time. Like a giant zit. :)

  • I used to think I wanted to see Yellowstone national park one day, until I watched a show about how it is a volcano. Pretty creepy, I don't think I want to go anymore.

  • No fear. Please go see Yellowstone and every other NP within reach. Take your kids-just a wealth of knowledge and wildlife available. Last Summer my daughter and I were considering a trip to Iceland, but ended up choosing another country. From the documentaries I've seen, Iceland looks beautiful.

  • Maybe. Would depend on which type of volcano and what type of activity. There are some where even if the volcano hasn't erupted in years, there is this constant mudslide always going as there's an ongoing cycle of rain mixing with ash and debris. Places around those kinds of volcanoes are leveled once every few years. Not living there. But somewhere like Alaska, that's sitting on top of a dozen or so, that wouldn't be as bad.
