Do you think that cyberkids have higher IQs?

Our kids spend long periods of time w/ computers, tv, video games, ipods, etc. Some believe that all these activities make children smarter because their brains are constantly "working". What do you think?

  • No, but I think it will make them great multitaskers with fabulous eye-hand coordination.. There is only so much the brain can process at one time, so the images get jumbled and the synapses fire too rapidly. Hasn't been proven, but it cannot be good for the brain in the long run.

  • No. A Childs IQ is typically within 10 points of mom and dads. If mom and dad have a high IQ good chance their kids will have a high IQ.
