What is the best allergy medicine for a 7 year old? he keeps sneezing and has a stuffy/runny nose:(

  • You can use regular Zytec at 6 years old if your child can swallow the little pill. I assumed it was just for adults until my daughters doctor told me to give it to her. I looked at the bottle and sure enough it says 6 and up. They also have a childrens formula but I haven't tried it. We went straight to the regular since I had it in the house for me anyway.

  • I like Zyrtec too, but ask a pharmacist for specific info. It depends a little bit on whether your son has "indoor" or "outdoor" allergies.
