  • missbreezy actually yes I would be upset about that to. However you are wrong about how it happened a majority of our presidents were not Christians. It was put on there by a promise when I believe Jefferson I may be wrong on which one ran for president. His major backers were Christians. It was a bribe for support.

  • I don't know if it had anything to do with what your asking about OP, but the majority of US Presidents WERE Christian. You can see that plainly right here towards the bottom of the page.

  • Like everyone else has said it's because the majority of people are Christian.  Freedom of religion doesn't mean no religion, it means other religions have the right to practice too.  However since the majority of the people are Christian right now and in the past, you see more evidence of Christianity.

  • Since the country can't have an Official religion then atheist can't be the official religion either. Get over it.  Remove all relgion is wrong as well.

  • The separation of Church and State was to protect the Churches from the intrusion of the Government on their faithful practices. In some ways it was also meant to prevent a theocracy, but the main reason was to avoid interference in the Church. Writing a prayer, saying a pray, relying on faith when making tough choices, and acknowledging one's faith in God is not unconstitutional. Preventing a president from practicing or acknowledging his faith is though.

I can tell you right now how wrong that list is. Obama was born and raised Muslim. John Adams was was born Christian became Atheist, Eisenhower was Agnostic, ect.  I have never had wikipedia be wrong before, but I know it happens and this is one. Christian propaganda that is all.

Like everyone else has said it's because the majority of people are Christian.NO  Freedom of religion doesn't mean no religion, it means other religions have the right to practice too. This is true, but it does not mean it is ok for government to use one and not the other. No religious affiliations should matter or be public in government.

No body said remove all religion. All that said was DO NOT favour one over the other.

Beek no it is complete separation no church interference with decision, laws, or freedoms that should be aloud.

  • hot-mama...how's this site for you? Is this just Christian propoganda too? Here's another there are plenty more that show the exact same thing as these websites. Most of our Presidents have been Christian, there's no denying that. Maybe a couple of them were raised a different religion but they called themselves Christian while they were running for and in Office.

  • Wasn't there a prayer said at the White House when Obama was sworn in by a Christian Pastor? That wasn't only said there, it was broadcast all over the World!
