when do i start my 2yr on regular kids toothpaste

  • You do it when they can spit and not swallow most of the toothpaste... usually when they are getting close to 3 years.

  • our whole family uses fluoride free toothpaste. i believe that if it can't be swallowed, then it shouldn't go into the mouth at all.

  • I usually waited until 4 or 5 years old. I just took my 5 year old to the dentist and he said she has very week teeth because I use the fluoride free paste. I just switched her. I am now trying to teach my 3 year old to spit so I can switch her as well, so I don't have to wait as long.
