my 2 yr old dd has diarrhea....

dh is at work and i dont have a way to go get pedialite. is there anything i can feed her that might help? it's pretty bad diarrhea, but she has no other symptoms. she's been drinking plenty of water and milk, no fever, doesn't seem tired or upset . . .

  • Brat diet, no dairy except yogurt which has good "bugs" in it to help regulate her system.

  • The AAP says the BRAT diet and pedialite are out. You can feed regular diet. I wouldn't give milk since it can cause digestive problems.

  • Just the BRAT diet is fine for now along with plenty of liquids like water. I never buy pedialyte. For one it was gross LOL

    The BRAT diet is Banana, rice, applesauce, toast.

    Just make sure you wash your hands well and avoid any pools with her while she had diarhhea. Believe me I know someone who took her kid to the pool with diarhhea !!!
