I dont use my dishwasher alot, whats the best way to keep away smells and distilling water?

like I said dont use the dishwasher often. we live in an apartment. and theres a puddle of water always down at the bottom. theres a old musty smell comming from the dishwasher how can I rid of that smell since my dishes are smelling like it now too.?

  • pour a cup or two of vinegar in it and run it through a regular cycle while empty. That will help with the smell and keep grime and mildew from building up.

  • Yep, what laciD said, plus check the filter in the bottom of your dishwasher to make sure it is clean, as food particles can build up in there and grow mold/stink.
