blood on silk

so my hubby had to have his wisdom teeth. pulled to day and his mouth bleed on to our silk pillow case, its gold color. i cant bleach it, or use those harsh cleaner, or even hot water. what can i use to get the blood out, with out hurting the silk

  • Also Dawn dish soap is gentle enough to use on your pets might be good enough to use on your silk as well, just a dab should do it.

  • Cold cold cold water and let it sit if it is fresh it should come right out with a little hand work.

  • If it's 100% silk, it should be dry clean only. You aren't supposed to use water on silk. But since the pillow is probably ruined anyway, it wouldn't hurt to use a little cold water to try and remove the blood. You could also take it to the dry cleaner, but either way, it will be a miracle if it comes out. Sorry.
