This might get heated

Why are ALL white people lumped together? When there were black slaves, were there not white people who may have had slaves, but treated their slaves like family. America is not the first country to have slaves. Many other countries have had slaves and even continue to have slaves. Were there not white people who fought and died in the Civil War to let those who were slaves have their freedom? Were there not white people who helped those who were slaves escape from their owners, and risked their lives. This is just one instance in history, I don't have enough room to type in others. Why does everyone else who is not white get to cry racism, but if a white person cries racism they are laughed at? With the whole Mexico thing it just seems like everyone is jumping on the band wagon to jump on anyone who is white. The word racism is just getting so warn out.

Not really sure I get what you're saying here. I assume you're talking about immigration when you say "the whole Mexico thing" - but the white folk aren't the ones being attacked there. So.......?

  • Yes whites were essential in abolishing slavery. Racism is serious and unacceptable regardless of where it comes from.

  • Racism is wrong.

Illegally entering another country without proper documentation is wrong.

Driving without valid identification is wrong

Killing cattle, stealing property, breaking in to a home, car, or committing a crime serve a desperate cause is wrong.

Lying about a bill and saying it is racist when all it does is mimic Federal Law is wrong.

You are not that naive. Who do you think will be getting questioned and harassed 5 times a month while driving to work? Someone who looks like you or someone who looks like George Lopez?

  • OP- when I said the whole Hispanic thing, I am referring to that I have noticed the word racist and racism popping up, in regards to people, and I am assuming that it is white people being racist towards Hispanics.  But I don't want this post to get sidetracked into the whole AZ bill, it is about racism.  And if anyone else is getting tired of hearing people cry foul, I guess when they really don't have all the facts or they don't really consider all the facts or care about them.  That white people tend to get lumped all in one box when it comes to the whole racism thing.  People are so afraid to do the right thing, for fear of being wrongly accused of being a racist.
