How to clean 4 mths old baby's bowls and spoons?

My baby just started eating solid food. I clean his bowls with soap and warm water but I don t really know if I should sterilize them or what?

  • i used the dishwaser. but if not use REALLY hot water, and soap.

  • You don't need to sterilize. I hand wash a lot of my DD's dishes because they are plastic and I worry about the BPA leeching out when exposed to the high temperatures in the dishwasher. The silverware I just run thru like any other forks or spoons. I think by this age it is better not to sterilize because they need some exposure to germs to help keep their immune system strong.
