Name pronunciations

I am 23 weeks pregnant and have settled on name for my baby girl, however, my husband and I have had disagreements on the spelling and pronunciation.
So my question: Is the spelling of the name "Madeline" pronounced Mad-e- line (long "i") or Mad-e-lynn (short "i")?

Thanks for your input!

  • Madeline is "mad-uh-line", because the E at the end makes the I a long I.

  • Yes, I think you have it right. Twelve little girls in 2 straight lines, the smallest one was MADELINE.
