Nail polish on wood do I get it off?

If I use polish remover, won't it take up the wood floor finish also?

  • Yes, nail polish remover will strip your floor and look horrible!

Use a MAGIC ERASER!!! It will work I promise ;)

  • Dont use polish remover because it will strip off the stain and clear coat. It happened on my table. When it dries it should chip right off. Do you have a childs utensil that is plastic to help scrape it off a little?

  • Also I found that goo gone gets paint off stuff. Not sure if that would hurt your floors or not?

  • Sorry meaning that it may work for nail polish too

  • I would try to just flake it off. I got some polish on my tile before and I did not want to use remover as there was a sealer on it. So I waited for it to dry sat down beside it and with my thumb nail just start to flake it off. It came up pretty easy that way and I avoid all the risk of using anything on it. Also as far as cleaning other things (not polish lol) I have not had a lot of luck with the magic eraser. But maybe it would work for this! <3

  • If it's worth it to you, buy dry ice and freeze will scrape right off

  • Thanks everyone! I saw online to spray it with hairspray and use a magic eraser and it worked! The magic eraser worked its butt off and was completely destroyed by the end, but it came out! My daughter can live to see another day =)
