  • you should try getting a ring she can sit on to use the big potty. that worked for us. after a while we just stopped using it and she didnt even think about it. the hardest problem can be finding one big enough for a 3 year old. lol

  • It got to the point of me having to bribe my 3 1/2 year old daughter. I would tell her that if she peed on the big potty by herself, then a fairy would drop off a surprise in her room when she did good the first few times. Also, try tearing off a few pieces of toilet paper and put them in a little spot just for her so she won't have to fumble with the roll. Let her think that doing this is the most big girl thing EVER.
And about the bribing thing that I did. Don't let that go on for too long if you decide to do it that way, because eventually when she starts doing this all by herself, she will expect a gift. Tell her that the fairy is proud of her, but now that she has started to pee by herself, it's time to move on to something else to accomplish. Good luck, you'll need it!!! lol

  • Just get rid of it. If it's not in the house, she can't beg for it. End of story.

  • ...As far as wiping, just remind her that she can't.......go to preschool/_____/whatever until she can wipe herself.

  • Tell her you're giving the ring away to a little girl who's too small to sit on the big potty.

For the wiping, maybe get her some new special soap and some toddler wipes and let her decorate the container of toddler wipes (the Target ones come in a plain white plastic container and she could color on it with a permanent marker or put stickers on it). If she wipes herself, she gets to use these fun wipes and gets to wash her hands with the special soap. Or if you don't like the idea of toddler wipes, get colored bathroom tissue for a little while. Our almost-3 year-old girl, at least, can be coaxed to do anything and everything if it is labeled "special." lol
