HOW DO YOU GET THOSE DARK DIRT STAINS OUT OF THE TUB

  • scrub with vinegar and baking soda... and clean it on a regular basis. If you clean it often the stains would not build up.

  • Bleach,comet and elbow grease,lol
    Another thing I found that works is to sprinkle the tub with Borax and sprey vingar over it, let sit for 20 mins and then use some elbox grease, scrub and rinse.
    But don't leave ANY of the above on longer than 30 minutes because it could wear down and eat away your tub enamel.
    The Borax/Vinegar mixture really makes a nice shiny tub too.

  • If you have a fiberglass tub (feels like plastic) then use degreaser
    Cast iron, use degreaser, then CLR

  • But don't scrub too hard. I once ruined a tub that way.

  • In the same section at the store, with Comet & Ajax is a product called Barkeeper's Friend.
    It uses an acid to make things clean (so use gloves).
    The stuff is AMAZING.

  • Bleach with no water added. You can remove old caulk with razor blade and recaulk. Its cheap but a little bit of work.
