  • I usually can some things, and freeze the rest.

  • I garden, can, and freeze whatever I can. I also buy rice in bulk.

  • I am gardening.

But honestly money has been tight lately, so we've been going through a using-our-food storage phase. I'm so grateful we've had one built up for such times as these.

  • I am slowly building store-bought food storage. I am also preparing to plant a garden, but I'm still in the preliminary stages- getting my soil tested & "balanced out", etc. I have compost going already, so I am hoping to be able to plant in the next few months. All that is going to depend on exactly what I need to do to prepare the soil (money is tight for me right now).
So... whenever that happens, I plan on canning/jarring. I got a bit ahead of myself & asked for a pressure canner for Christmas, so it is patiently waiting for me.
