If you saw a fire would you call 911 that instant or would you think that someone must have already called and continue with your life?

  • I would absolutely call. I'm a medic & a former volunteer firefighter... I've seen people die in fires. No one deserves to go that way, ever.

Anyone who would say they wouldn't call needs to be taken out back & beaten with a hose. Period. End of story.

  • I would call. I'd rather the operator tell me that someone had already called then to assume and find out a whole family died.

  • Call 911....it's better to have 100 people call for help then no one at all.

  • Yeah, I assume nothing. People are heartless, and ignore all that goes on around them, so that they do not have to "get involved". Absolutely would be on my cell!

  • I live in San Diego... dont even get me started on the fire fear we live with.

I ALWAYS call 911 if there is a need... I never assume someone else is doing it.

  • I always call, better to flood the 911 dispatch with calls than assume that someone already has.

We did so when we witnessed a car wreck on Tuesday AND waited for over an hour for the cops to come to give a witness statement.
