  • Count yourself lucky. My breastfed 12 month old wakes up all the time at night.. and doesn't take proper naps during the day either.

  • For me, my sleep patterns have never returned to what they were before I had kids.

  • My sleep patterns did get back to normal, until I got about midway through this pregnancy. My kids are 17 months, 8, 10, and 12 - I had lots of years of 9 hours or so at night. Of course, there are the occasions when they are sick or have nightmares, but they are few and far in between.

  • Once they sleep well at night then I am able to sleep pretty normal not really my before kid days because as a mom there is so much more to do so I stay up doing stuff but when I sleep the kids really never wake me unless they are sick or nightmare.I have 3 kids ages 2,5 and 6. The first two are 16mos apart so I had a long period where I was sleep deprived! I finally got use to decent sleep again and baby 3 came! But she has slept well since we put her back in her own bed at 12mos....Enjoy your rest!

  • Soon you will have to get up for early morning soccer or sports practices/games, sleep overs where the kids get up at the crack of dawn or stay up late waiting on a teen to come home ;)
Enjoy your sleep now- each phase of parenting has it ups and downs!

  • No, I still wake up a few times at night even though my son now sleeps through the night. He didn't sleep through the night until he was 2 years old, so I guess I just got too used to those night-time wake ups. At least now I can just roll over and go back to sleep instead of getting up...
