What can I use to neutralize the amonia smell in the litter box?

I need something I can add to the scoopable litter. It needs to be safe for my cats. Already tried baking soda.

  • When we had a cat, I just scooped it once or twice a day..or more if I noticed my cat had used it. Then every Saturday morning I would empty the remaining litter, bleach the litter box, rinse it...and filled it back up. I never had a problem with the smell.
